Ed Pien: Celestial Bodies

Ed Pien presented a new installation/ drawing with light and audio components on a celestial theme. Pien's layered-tissue environments have evolved to deploy evocative colour and light in combination with the visceral lyricism of drawings based on mythical beings from various cultures. In this show, subjectivity extended into the cosmos.
In January, Ed Pien will be the Koerner Visiting Artist in the Department of Art at Queen's University: he will work with senior fine art students during this residency. The artist will present a lecture on his work in the Atrium on Sunday 23 January at 2:30 pm, followed by a reception.
